| DDS MediaOcean is pleased to introduce Station Order Manager, a browser-based application that facilitates the sales process between stations and reps. It improves accuracy and efficiency by allowing stations to electronically review orders, return orders with comments and confirm orders. The electronic exchange of orders completely eliminates the need for faxing.

Any action performed using the Station Order Manager application automatically updates the rep’s contract system. This ensures immediate synchronization between station sales and the rep, and avoids the errors associated with manually entering the same order information. Overall order comments as well as buyline-specific comments can be included to ensure that the relevant instructions accompany each order. The station can also add an internal approval/rejection indicator, to enhance communication within the station before responding to the rep.
Deployed at 10 Stations
Ten stations are currently using the Station Order Manager application to improve their business processes. “The station inbox is a great feature,” says Maggie Cornyn, sales assistant at KTVD, a Colorado-based UPN station that is working with the application. “I like being able to see what contracts need addressing in one view as opposed to searching through piles of papers,” she explains. Melva Williams, the national sales manager at KCEN, an NBC affiliate in Central Texas, is impressed by the efficiencies introduced by the new product. “What I like best about Station Order Manager is being able to do makegoods without having to pull the paper file to see what had been done to the order. I like the confirmation procedure, which makes it very easy to confirm orders. The whole system makes my job easier,” states Williams.
Additional deployment of Station Order Manager is currently underway. Rollout is expected across several dozen rep clients over the next few weeks.
