| Now more than 2,000 non-DARE agencies can sign on to send orders electronically, directly to your MediaOcean electronic inbox.
In 2005, DDS MediaOcean announced its support for the TVB’s Order Xport (XML) spec, which allows for the transmission of new orders (one time only) from agency to rep.
To date, DDS MediaOcean systems have processed more than 70,000 Order Xport orders from non-DARE agencies. However, we received almost no orders from Arbitron or Strata agencies, as they found it too difficult to send orders from their stand-alone agency systems.
Arbitron and Strata Marketing, Inc. recently retained the services of eMediaTRADE and Spot Buy Spot, respectively, to assist their clients in sending orders using the Order Xport spec. This allows Arbitron and Strata users to send orders to DDS MediaOcean systems via these vendors’ hubs. Arbitron has 1,400 agency clients and Strata has 1,000 agency clients.
To move this process forward, we have compiled a list of top non-DARE agencies in major markets that are capable of sending orders electronically using this spec. This list will be provided to you and will show which agencies use Arbitron and Strata systems so you can target these agencies and solicit their electronic participation.
Receiving these orders electronically will save your organization time and money. Electronic orders eliminate manual order entry and input errors, and help reduce discrepancies.
DDS is the acknowledged leader in eBusiness solutions for the advertising industry. We manage the industry hub for DARE – the only true two-way electronic data interchange in the business. This local spot television eBusiness solution handled more than four million electronic transactions in 2006 (up over 30% from 2005). In 2006, we handled more than one million electronic invoices, representing more than $13 billion. In its first year of operation, through our system for print advertising, almost 100,000 electronic insertion orders were issued. In 2007, we collaborated with the CAB, the agency community and cable networks to implement live electronic changes to a cable buy. This year we also collaborated with trading partners to enable our clients to send national radio orders and order revisions to the rep electronically and receive electronic confirmations. We continue to pursue eBusiness solutions in every media for all clients and their trading partners. | |
