Responsible for account management, customer support, and educational services throughout the US, Drew is singly focused on providing a superior level of service to Mediaocean clients. Drew joins Mediaocean from the role of EVP, Professional Services at MediaBank; his prior roles include North American Application Director and VP, Business and Information Technology Solutions for MediaCom/GroupM. He started his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and has spent over two decades in Information Technology and project management. Drew graduated summa cum laude from New York University with a B.S. in Economics and minor in English.
Sarah Lawson Johnston
Managing Director, UK & Ireland
Sarah oversees all facets of the relationship between Mediaocean and its UK clients– from guiding the strategic partnership to account management to ultimate delivery of Mediaocean products. She has been instrumental in shaping Mediaocean’s UK & Irish client relations since the mid-1990’s—joining the DDS account management team in 1994, and rising to become DDS’ Director of Agency Relations UK & Ireland. Over that time, she and her teams have been intimately tied with the major holding companies and large agencies in the UK and Ireland, and across the world. Sarah graduated from Newcastle University in 1994 with a degree in economics.
Managing Director, France
Julien and his teams forge deep, strategic partnerships that create superior technology and outstanding service for Mediaocean partners in France and beyond. Julien comes to Mediaocean from the role of CEO of DDS France; he was brought on in 1994 to head the fledgling DDS division, and led it to become the management technology provider of choice for nearly a third of the top French media agencies. Having served in leadership positions within IT consultancy Steria (Euronext: RIA), Price Waterhouse, and Young &Rubicam, he brings to the role extensive experience in media, technology, and financial management. Julien holds a degree in computer science from the University of Orsay, and a doctorate in management from the University Paris Dauphine.
Managing Director, Germany
Detlef works hand-in-hand with partners to deliver superior Mediaocean products and services across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He comes to Mediaocean from the role of Managing Director of DDS Germany, first joining DDS in 1989. Prior to DDS, he held numerous senior leadership roles in financial management, tax consulting, and auditing, including controller positions within Deutsche Bank, Exxon and L’Oréal group. He is a chartered accountant.
Wally is responsible for delivering the technology and services that power Mediaocean partners throughout Canada. He comes to the role from the position of President of DDS in Canada, a position he held since 1998. Under Wally’s leadership, DDS Canada tripled its market share, and firmly established the company as the industry leader for both electronic transactions and buy-side systems in the Canadian media market. Wally spent his early management career at Clarkson Gordon in Toronto and Arthur Young, London, England (now Ernst & Young). He is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA in Marketing from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
VP Engineering and GM, APAC
Narendra leads Mediaocean systems and solutions across the Asia-Pacific region, and spearheads operations to drive Mediaocean’s development team in Pune work with speed, intelligence, and innovation. He comes to Mediaocean with extensive global experience in enterprise software and automation platforms—most recently from Intel, where he served as Director, Enterprise Solutions for global use. Since 1999, he held leadership roles within Intel delivering Sales & Marketing , automation, business intelligence, and supply chain management systems. Narendra is a proven leader in delivering compelling business value to customers through speed, quality and innovation. Narendra holds a bachelors in Chemical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing, both from the University of Mumbai.
